| 16th November 2001 - Sydney driver Nathan
Pilkington wrapped up the Australian GT Performance Sports Touring Car
Championship last weekend at Oran Park in Sydney’s west.
The 24 year old in his rookie year was
ecstatic to beat the likes of the factory Volkswagen Team with their new
Beetle Rsi’s as well as some more seasoned campaigners in his Mitsubishi
FTO two-litre V6.
Nathan opted out of using some of the more
expensive engine management systems and chose the UNICHIP because of its
reliability and ease. The UNICHIP allowed the young driver to spend more
time on the set-up of his car rather than the engine. “The last thing any
driver wants to worry about before heading onto the track is the intergrity
of the computer, besides, if it’s good enough for Jim Richards its good
enough for me” Nathan said.
Nathan plans to continue using UNICHIP
next year with his assault on the High Performance class. |
