| 1. | The APSSTI-HSK/01 APS Heat Shield Kit contains a number of pre-cut heat shields that require forming around the APS Split Pulse Headers.
Identify each heat shield and its relative location. |

| 2. | LHS front heat shield (Item 1) -
Using evenly spread and firm pressure, bend heat shield around header as shown in top view and front detail view. Once formed into shape, remove heat shield and set aside. |

| 3. | RHS Front heat shield (Item 2) -
Using evenly spread and firm pressure, bend heat shield around header as shown in top view and front detail view. Once formed into shape, remove heat shield and set aside. |

| 4. | RHS Inner heat shield (Item 3) -
Using evenly spread and firm pressure, bend heat shield around header as shown in top view and front detail view. Once formed into shape, remove heat shield and set aside. |

| 5. | LHS Rear heat shield (Item 3) -
Using evenly spread and firm pressure, bend heat shield around header as shown in top view and front detail view. Once formed into shape, remove heat shield and set aside. |

| 7. | Install LHS Rear heat shield (Item 4) that was formed earlier and hold in place temporarily.
Install LHS Front heat shield (Item 1) formed earlier and secure both LHS heat shields with four stainless steel tie straps (Item 6) as shown. Install RHS Rear heat shield (Item 5) and hold in place temporarily. Install RHS Front heat shield (Item 2) and secure both RHS heat shields with four stainless steel tie straps (Item 6) as shown. |

| 8. | Install RHS Inner heat shield (Item 3) and secure both RHS Inner and RHS Front (Item 2) heat shields with four stainless steel tie straps (Item 6) as shown.
Install another stainless steel tie strap around the RHS Front (Item 2) and RHS Rear (Item 5) heat shields near the base of the RHS Inner (Item 3) heat shield as shown. Check that all heat shields and ties straps are secure. The images shown at this step are of the same installation but at different angles. These images are for reference purposes. |

| 9. | The APS headers fitted with the APS heat shield system are now ready for installation into the vehicle in accordance with the APS header system installation guide. | |
