At high turbocharger boost pressures, the total flow rate of charge-air into the engine increases markedly. Consequently, the amount of exhaust gas that flows into and through the turbocharger also increases markedly - to the point where additional wastegate flow is required in order to divert exhaust gas flow away from the turbocharger's turbine and modulate boost.

Because of the innovative design of the stock APS single turbocharger wastegate system (which divorces the wastegate valve from the turbocharger itself), upgrading to the APS remote wastegate system is simple and straightforward. There is no need to modify any part of the turbocharger or any piping forward of the turbocharger. In fact, it's as easy as removing the centre section of the exhaust pipe and replacing it with the APS remote wastegate pipe.

Crafted in 304 grade stainless steel and precision TIG welded, the APS remote wastegate pipe delivers the perfect fit that APS customers demand. In addition, details such as the robust flex joint used in the wastegate valve mating pipe ensure a lifetime of leak-free operation under the most demanding high horsepower conditions.

Those who have lowered high performance 350Zs will also appreciate the fact that the APS remote wastegate pipe is manufactured with twin 2.5" pipes in the critical clearance areas in order to deliver the best possible exhaust gas flow - along with the best possible floor and ground clearance - with a high-flow merge into a 3" diameter stock 2-bolt flange to mate perfectly with any 350Z cat-back exhaust system.
